Question: Are you planning any type of specific promotion aimed at the dealer and
manufacturer for getting them to attend?
Answer: The biggest challenge that we have has always been getting the right
targeted audience to join us. The independent tire dealers, I think, are unique folks.
They are a very kind of “show me the money” thing. Likewise the tire manufacturers are looking for a great deal. So we are creating the ITEC Value Coupon book.
The format is similar to the Entertainment Books we have come to know. The Value
Coupon book is something that we really haven’t seen anybody else do, but we are
planning to produce it with the help of our exhibitors.
Every ITEC attendee will receive a Value Coupon Book which will include coupons
that can be redeemed at exhibitors’ booths for show discounts on products and
services, unbelievable give-aways, or incredible marketing promotions, whether
that’s a drawing for a set of high-performance tires or discounts on extruders, tire
presses or tire changers, or just savings on delivery charges. It’s possible that the
Value Coupons could be worth several thousands of dollars. That whole package of
coupons will be cash in the attendees’ pockets when they come to ITEC and
purchase any of those products or put their name in the hat for a drawing for a
variety of different things that the suppliers can offer.
